The Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle is a weekly newspaper serving the Jewish community of south-western Pennsylvania. It was formed on 8 March 1962 by the merger of The Jewish Criterion (founded 1895) and The American Jewish Outlook (founded 1934), and took its current name in July 2017. It is published every Friday by the Pittsburgh Jewish Publication and Education Foundation from Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh.Sources:1Wikipedia: Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle, Wikipedia (source, opens in a new tab)2Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle: About the Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle, Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle (source, opens in a new tab)

Its website runs on The Times of Israel's platform as part of a digital partnership that also includes some content sharing; the paper describes itself as an independent multimedia Jewish news organization and says it corrects errors rather than removing published items.Sources:2Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle: About the Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle, Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle (source, opens in a new tab)3Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle: Chronicle launches new website, Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle (source, opens in a new tab)
